Current Openings

We are currently accepting applications for the Galen Williams Fellowship Program. The program, named in honor of the founder of Poets & Writers, aims to nurture the next generation of leaders for the literary field. In 2016-17, we will offer three paid fellowships in our New York City office.

The Fellowships are perhaps best suited to a graduate students and individuals who have recently completed a graduate degree; however, other qualified and motivated candidates will also be considered. Fellows will work twenty hours per week for ten months and receive a stipend of $12,400.

The Joseph F. McCrindle Foundation Readings & Workshops Fellow will provide support for the Readings & Workshops (East) program. The fellow will gain experience in all aspects of program administration and will have the opportunity to interact with scores of writers and community based organizations that present literary programming for diverse populations throughout New York City and beyond. Download the job description and application instructions.

The Joseph F. McCrindle Foundation Online Editorial Fellow will work with the editorial department, assisting in the production of content for pw.org. The fellow will gain experience in the production of online content and the management of a highly trafficked website. Download the job description and application instructions.

The Raab Editorial Fellow will work with the editorial department, which is responsible for producing content for Poets & Writers Magazineand pw.org. The fellow will gain experience in all aspects of the editorial process involved in the publication of the print magazine and the website. Download the job description and application instructions.
