Poets & Writers Co-Sponsors Writers Conference in Decatur

Poets & Writers is proud to team up with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Book Festival in presenting this year's Writers Conference, part of the Decatur Book Festival, which runs from August 29 to 31. In addition to hosting a booth at the book fair, Poets & Writers will host two Writers Conference events: "Publishing 101" and "A Conversation with C. Michael Curtis." Poets & Writers will also host a workshop for teens on the art of slam poetry led by poet and performer Regie Cabico.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Decatur Book Festival Presented by DeKalb Medical is an annual, free book festival that takes place over Labor Day weekend in Decatur at several venues located in and around the downtown Decatur Square. Conceived in 2005 and launched in 2006, the festival brings more than 200 authors to Decatur for the holiday weekend. The authors give readings, talks, and panel discussions. The event is free and open to the public.
