Author's Bio

Alexis-Rueal has been in the Columbus poetry scene since 2011. In that time, she has seen the publication of two chapbooks, and has performed at venues and festivals throughout the state of Ohio. She was a member of the 2013 National Poetry Slam team with Writers' Block Poetry Night. Her writing focuses on her Appalachian heritage and the way it connects to feminist issues. Her first full-length collection, "I Speak Hick," is slated for release in February 2016 from Writing Knights Press.
