The Algonkian Writer Conference–New York City Pitch for fiction writers and creative nonfiction writers was held from March 27 to March 30 at the Ripley-Grier Studios in New York City. The conference offered workshops on writing and selling fiction and creative nonfiction manuscripts, as well as an agent pitch session. The faculty included fiction writers Susan Breen, Ann Garvin, and Michael Neff; editors Caitlin Alexander, Ibrahim Ahmad, Adrienne Avila, Tom Colgan, Dana Isaacson, and Jennifer Josephy; and agents Paula Munier and Katharine Sands. The cost of the conference was $595 until March 20, and $695 thereafter. Applicants submitted a bio and a brief synopsis of their manuscript. Applications were accepted on a rolling basis.
