Author's Bio

April’s story “Project Fumarase” won a 2016 Pushcart Prize. Her debut story collection, The Poor Children, won Grand Prize for the Santa Fe Writers Project 2013 Literary Awards Program for Fiction. she has held residencies at Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and Ucross Foundation. Her debut novel, Carousel, is forthcoming in 2020 with Inanna Publications. She is Associate Publisher for SFK Press.
