The 2024 Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference will be held from August 14 to August 24 in the Green Mountains of Ripton, Vermont. The conference features workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as lectures; craft classes; meetings with editors, agents, and publishers; and readings by faculty and guests. The faculty includes poets Catherine Barnett, Rick Barot, Carmen Giménez, Sally Keith, Adrian Matejka, and Mark Wunderlich; fiction writers Marie-Helene Bertino, Jamel Brinkley, Jennine Capó Crucet, Garth Greenwell, Samantha Hunt, Mat Johnson, Victor LaValle, Rebecca Makkai, Dinaw Mengestu, and Helen Schulman; and creative nonfiction writers Jenny Boully and Paul Lisicky. Special guests include novelist Xochitl Gonzalez. Participating publishing professionals include editors Katie Raissian (Grove Atlantic) and Jenny Xu (Atria Books) and agents Miriam Altshuler (DeFiore & Company) and Janet Silver (Aevitas Creative Management). Tuition is $4,105, which includes lodging and meals. Financial aid is available.
