This program features a professional series with publishers, editors, and agents. The program offers courses in children's literature, drama, genre fiction, screenwriting, and translation.

The program hosts the Visiting Author Series; a monthly student reading series; the TurnStyle Reading Series, in collaboration with Brooklyn College, Hunter College, and Queens College; and the Chinua Achebe Legacy Series and Langston Hughes Festival, in collaboration with the college’s Black Studies Program.
