The 2023 Indiana University Writers’ Conference was held from June 8 to June 11 in Bloomington, Indiana. The conference featured workshops, craft classes, panel discussions, and readings for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. The faculty included poets Marilyn Chin and Taylor Johnson, fiction writers Megan Giddings and Alexander Weinstein, and nonfiction writers Hannah Bae and Lars Horn. The cost of the conference, including tuition for a workshop and all classes, panels, and readings, was $800. The cost of the conference for all classes, panels, and readings, without workshop tuition, was $375. General registration was first come, first served, and included a $25 registration fee. Lodging was available in campus dormitories for $51.45 per night, and at the Graduate Bloomington Hotel, for $99 to $119 per night. After registering for a workshop, writers submitted 8 to 10 pages of poetry or up to 20 pages of prose; admissions were rolling. Visit the website for more information.
