James Francis Cahillane

Creative Nonfiction Writer, Poet

Author's Bio

My latest book is THE PILOT'S SATCHEL: Comatose Poetry with Added Analysis (Off The Common Books Amherst MA August 2016). It melds poetry and explanation of my 2010 ten-day sleep and the dreams recalled upon my recovery. Other recent work ranges from guest Opinion columns for The Daily Hampshire Gazette and Greenfield Recorder. I contributed an essay to The Irish Legacy: The History of the Irish in Western Massachusetts, and have lectured at Greenfield Community College & The Springfield Museums.
I published a trans-Atlantic lover story:: A Yank at Fairford with photos as a Christmas gift for siblings, children and grandchildren. In 2015 I survived open-heart surgery to write one more book and do readings again!
