Author's Bio

Katherine (Katie) Riegel's lyric memoir about her sister, Our Bodies Are Mostly Water, is forthcoming from Cornerstone Press in 2025. She is the author of three books of poetry: Love Songs from the End of the World (Main Street Rag 2019), What the Mouth Was Made For (FutureCycle 2013), and Castaway (FutureCycle 2010). She also published the prose poem/lyric cnf chapbook Letters to Colin Firth, which won the 2015 Sundress Publications Chapbook Competition. Her poems and essays have appeared in Brevity, The Offing, Orion, Poets.org, Tin House, and elsewhere. She is co-founder and managing editor for Sweet: A Literary Confection.
