Author's Bio

Laura L. Snyder is a naturalist, botanical illustrator, gardener, and a breast cancer survivor, who writes. Most of Laura’s writing springs from her curiosity of the natural world. Ekphratic writing (writing sparked by art) is one way that Laura accesses her inner world.

Laura teaches writing at conferences, volunteers as a history interpreter and leads walks on beaches and in the woods, passing on her enthusiasm for nature in the Pacific NW.

Laura reads her poetry from Bend, OR to British Columbia. She believes in journaling in hard-backed journals where she can write, do art and paste in the ephemera of her life.
