Author's Bio

Lynn Emanuel has taught at the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, The Warren Wilson Program in Creative Writing, and the Bennington College Low Residency MFA She is the author of four books of poetry, Hotel Fiesta, The Dig, Then, Suddenly—, and Noose and Hook. The Nerve of It--Poems Selected and New is forthcoming fall 2015. Her work has been featured numerous times in the Pushcart Prize Anthology and Best American Poetry and is included in The Oxford Book of American Poetry. She has been a poetry editor for the Pushcart Prize Anthology, a member of the Literature Panel for the National Endowment for the Arts, and a judge for the National Book Awards.

Prizes won: 

Awards include the Eric Matthieu King Award from The Academy of American Poets, two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships, a Fellowship from the Ranieri Foundation, and a National Poetry Series Award. She has also served as Elliston Distinguished Poet-in-Residence at the University of Cincinnati.
