Author's Bio

Lynn Levin is the author of nine books, most recently a collection of short stories House Parties (Spuyten Duyvil, 2023). Her previous books include the poetry collections The Minor Virtues (Ragged Sky, 2020), Miss Plastique (Ragged Sky, 2013), Fair Creatures of an Hour (Loonfeather, 2009), Imaginarium (Loonfeather, 2005), and A Few Questions about Paradise (Loonfeather, 2000). She is, with Valerie Fox, the author of the craft-of-poetry book, Poems for the Writing: Prompts for Poets (Texture, second edition, 2019; first edition, 2013). She is the translator, from the Spanish, of Birds on the Kiswar Tree (2Leaf /U of Chicago, 2014), a collection of poems by the Peruvian Andean poet Odi Gonzales. Lynn Levin’s poems, translations, essays, and short stories have appeared in Ploughshares, Boulevard, The Hopkins Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, Cleaver, Washington Square Review, Amarillo Bay, Verse Daily, and on Garrison Keillor’s radio show The Writer’s Almanac. She teaches at Drexel University.
