The 31st annual Miami Book Fair International will be held from November 16 to November 23 at the Wolfson Campus of Miami Dade College in downtown Miami. The festival includes readings by more than 400 authors from around the world, as well as discussions, panels, performances, and special events and activities with local programs such as #6WordsMiami, Generation Genius, and the Swamp. Participating authors include poets Richard Blanco and Stanley Plumly; fiction writers Nicholson Baker, Lan Cao, Kate Christensen, Patricia Cornwell, Edwidge Danticat, Stuart Dybek, Boris Fishman, Alexander McCall Smith, Brad Meltzer, Susan Minot, Walter Mosley, Elizabeth Nunez, Achy Obejas, Joanna Rakoff, and Anne Rice; and creative nonfiction writers Dave Barry, Annabelle Gurwitch, Nicholas Kristof, Sandra Tsing Loh, David Menasche, Ilan Stavans, and Cheryl Lu-Lien Tan.
