The 2014 Ontario Writers’ Conference for fiction and creative nonfiction writers was held from May 2 to May 3 in Ajax, Ontario, approximately 25 miles northeast of Toronto. The program featured workshops, craft talks, master classes, readings, and meetings with agents and editors. Participants included fiction writers Allison Baggio, Andrew Borkowski, Erin Bow, and Wayson Choy; creative nonfiction writers Anthony De Sa, Shannon Moroney, and Priscila Uppal; agents Stacey Donaghy and Sam Hiyate; and editors Allyson Latta and Ruth E. Walker. The cost of the conference was $240 Canadian (approximately $220). The fee for a master class was $90 Canadian (approximately $82) and a one-on-one meeting with an agent or editor was $20 Canadian (approximately $18). The registration deadline was March 31.
