Author's Bio

Robert Simon is a professor in the areas of Hispanic and Lusophone languages, cultures, and literatures at Kennesaw State University. He is both a poet and literary critic, having authored books and articles on the poetries of Angola, Portugal, and Spain. His poetry, composed in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, elaborates on the themes of love, travel, and self-imposed barriers to interpersonal relationships and communication. Among his forthcoming and published poetic works are The Traveler / el viajero / o Viajante (Cyberwit, 2010), Poems of a Turning Professor: A Collection in Two Epochs and Five Parts (Cyberwit, 2015), Summer Poems of You and Me (Finishing Line Press, 2011), Os Sophíadas, parts I and II (Apenas Livros, 2009 and 2011), as well as various poems in journals such as New York Quarterly, Taj Mahal Review, The Reach of Song, and Efémera – Revista Digital de Prosa e Poesia.
