Author's Bio

Sandra Proto has published two volumes of poetry: a full-length collection Wrapped Up In Life with Omniscient Eyes (2011) and a chapbook Spring’s Tepid Breath (2014). Sandra is also, a crafter (specializing in wooden spoon bottle dolls and mask making); fiction writer, playwright, blogger, and an essayist. Her essay on Theodore Doctor, one of the first African-Americans to reside in Rockaway, New York, was published in The Wave Publication of Long Island 110th Anniversary issue and her personal essay Motherhood Memories was published on The Spartan Opinion.
