This program hosts a Visiting Writers Series as well as the Saluki Writers Project, which sends students into the community as volunteer teachers of creative writing. It is also host to the Devil's Kitchen Literary Festival and the Little Grassy Literary Festival. Opportunities are available for students to study abroad at National University in Galway, Ireland. Students may also participate in the Association of English Graduate Instructors and Students (AEGIS).
