Author's Bio

Stephanie Kuehnert is the author of two young adult novels, I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone and Ballads of Suburbia, both published by MTV Books. She has been a staff writer at Rookie, an online magazine for teenage girls since its launch in 2011. She received her MFA from Columbia College Chicago. She lives in Seattle where she teaches fiction writing at the Hugo House and works in the English Department at Seattle University. Kuehnert’s next book, a zine-style YA memoir that draws from her essays for Rookie and the pages of her own teenage zines, will be published by Dutton Children’s Books in 2016.
