Author's Bio

Terri McCord is a visual artist as well as a poet. The South Carolina Arts Commission awarded her the literary fellowship in poetry for 2001-2002. She won first place out of 600 entries in the South Carolina Poetry Initiative/The State Newspaper Single Poem Contest. Other awards include finalist standing in the Press 53 Open Awards, Pocataligo Poetry Prize from Yemassee Review, Southeast Review. She won the 2007 Don Russ Poetry Prize from Kennesaw Review. She has read for the Sundown Poetry Series at the Spoleto Festival and has conducted workshops in the upstate - most recently for the Foothills Writers Guild.
