Author's Bio

I am a native of Houston, Texas and graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. My fiction has appeared in The Atlantic, Ploughshares, The Virginia Quarterly Review, Epoch, and other magazines, and has been anthologized in Best of the South: Stories from the Second Decade of New Stories from the South; and What If? Writing Exercises for Fiction Writers; my non-fiction and book reviews have appeared in Ninth Letter, The Harvard Review, The Boston Book Review, and The Rumpus. I currently teach in the Emerson College Honors Program, the MFA program at the University of New Hampshire, and the Stanford Online Writing Studio. I live in the Boston area with my wife and daughter.
