Author's Bio

My work as a poet incorporates natural history, ritual, plain speech, and storytelling. I view language as integrally tied to the wild and constructed landscapes we inhabit, and am attentive to how written and performed texts impact the audience-participants who engage with my work. I grew up in a family of artists in southern Pennsylvania, then studied writing and religion at Manchester University and Bethany Theological Seminary. I currently live in central Indiana, where I teach writing to college students.
