Author's Bio

After more than 40 years as a writer, journalist and educator, I retired from the Rochester (NY) Institute of Technology as a Creative Writing and Literary Studies professor. Nonetheless, I still write and teach remotely in Central Florida at Orlando's Valencia College. My poems, stories and essays appear in anthologies and other publications. Outside the university I teach and speak on writing fiction and nonfiction, African American Literature and Culture, and Comics as Political and Cultural Literature.
