The 19th annual Virginia Festival of the Book was held from March 20 to March 24, 2013, in Charlottesville, Virginia, to celebrate books and promote literacy. The festival offered readings, panels, and discussions with writers and publishing professionals. Participating writers have included poets Rebecca Foust, Elisabeth Murawski, and Gregory Orr; fiction writers Anne Enright, Jaimy Gordon, Kathryn Stockett, and Colm Toibin; and creative nonfiction writers Saloma Miller Furlong and Jim Minick.
