Yvette A. Schnoeker-Shorb's poetry and prose have appeared in many publications, including the New York QuarterlyWeber: The Contemporary West, The Midwest Quarterly, Slipstream MagazineClockhouse, AJN: The American Journal of Nursing, About Place Journal, Front Range Review, Medical Literary Messenger, Lullwater Review, the Jungian journal Depth Insights, Switchback, Watershed Review, Eastern Iowa Review, the anthology Talking Back and Looking Forward: An Educational Revolution in Poetry and Prose (Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group, 2016) and many other journals and anthologies.  Her chapbook, Shapes That Stay, was published in 2021 by Kelsay Books.  In addition to past Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net nominations, her work received Honorable Mentions in 2016 from both Port Yonder Press and Erbacce Press. An educator, researcher, and editor, she co-founded Native West Press, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit natural history press that publishes interdisciplinary anthologies, including poets, on behalf of the natural environment. "I believe that poets are endowed with the responsibility to fearlessly document the world and time in which they live."
