Letterpress Poetry Chapbook Competition

A prize of $500 and letterpress publication by the Center for Book Arts is given annually for a poetry chapbook. The winner will also receive an additional $500 to give a reading at the Center for Book Arts in New York City in Fall 2017, and a weeklong residency at the Winter Shakers Program at the Millay Colony for the Arts in Austerlitz, New York. Sharon Dolin and Juan Felipe Herrera will judge. Submit a manuscript of up to 21 pages (or 450 lines) with a $25 entry fee by December 15. Chapbook Fellowships

Four prizes of $1,000 each and publication by the Poetry Society of America are given annually for poetry chapbooks by poets who have not published a full-length collection. Two fellowships are given to poets ages 30 and under living in the United States, and two fellowships are given to poets of any age living anywhere in the United States. Kyle Dargan and Brenda Shaughnessy will judge the 30 and under competition; Cate Marvin and Patrick Rosal will judge the open competition.
