Letterpress Poetry Chapbook Competition

A prize of $500 and letterpress publication by the Center for Book Arts is given annually for a poetry chapbook. The winner also receives an additional $500 to give a reading at the Center for Book Arts in New York City and a weeklong residency at the Winter Shakers Program at the Millay Colony for the Arts in Austerlitz, New York. Chapbook Fellowships

Chapbook Fellowships

Four prizes of $1,000 each and publication by the Poetry Society of America are given annually for poetry chapbooks by poets who have not published a full-length collection. Two fellowships are given to poets ages 30 and younger living in the United States, and two fellowships are given to poets of any age living anywhere in the United States. Jane Hirshfield and A. Van Jordan will judge the 30 and under competition; Marilyn Chin and Don Patterson will judge the open competition. Submit a manuscript of 20 to 30 pages with a $12 entry fee by December 22.
