Editorial Focus:

Founded in 2012, Five Quarterly is an online literary project that invites readers of all kinds to participate in our editorial process and offers writers a place where they can feel cool with and excited about submitting their most personal work. Each quarter, five new guest editors of varying backgrounds ultimately select five poems and five fiction pieces for online publication, a model we really hope will help to introduce fresh perspectives, diversify the face of publishing, and encourage an expanding literary community.

Tips From the Editor:

5Q accepts work year round, on a rolling basis. If you wish to submit to a particular set of guest editors, be sure to send your submission by the end of the month of that guest editor announcement, otherwise your work will move to the next set of editors for consideration. Guest editors are announced at the beginning of February, May, August, and November. Our annual e-chapbook contest opens March 1.
