Journal O-Dark-Thirty

Every veteran and every military family member has a story. This site is where those stories get told. Sure, there are other places to hear or read the stories: around the bar, on a road trip, in some other journal. But like the man says, “This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.” This is our journal. It was conceived by and designed for, is run by, features work written by, and provides voice to members of the military community.

Journal Oblong

Oblong is an online and print publication founded in London in 2012. All themes are welcome; the only restriction is the word limit (< 1000 words). The online edition features a new piece of writing every Tuesday. An 8" x 5" print edition is published from time to time. In particular, we are looking for work that is rich in psychological insight and tightly written, lyrical but not overwrought. We also appreciate a bit of offbeat humour.
