Kugelmass publishes the best literary humor out there. We like work that is funny, but we're also believers that funny can be sad and poignant and gritty and whimsical. In early 2004, we traveled from village to village, seeking to alleviate the suffering of poverty, illness, and plain loss of hope. The name Lalitamba comes from a devotional song. It means Divine Mother.

Journal MOLT

MOLT is a new literary journal based in the principles of honesty and simplicity. We believe that good writing deserves to be read, regardless of who wrote it or how many pages we have left. (We resolved this issue by abandoning pages altogether.) We hope to provide a voice for emerging writers, especially those whose work falls in the gap between “mainstream” and “alternative” writing—which in contemporary literature is alarmingly wide. We are also committed to responding personally to every submission, opening a channel of communication between writers and editors.

Journal Pacifica Literary Review

We publish literary prose, (creative non-fiction & fiction), poetry, art, photography, and author interviews. We let loose the transformative properties of the Pacific waters into magazine form. Here is storytelling, things that are new, things that are blue, and the hymn-like old, the ancestral. Here are migrating whales and ferry rides, fishing boats, conifer covered land, fresh victuals, the sound of rain, secrets, rants, electric sunlight, coffee. We humbly present page-space for metamorphosis, for the imprinting of the ocean, for the printing of ourselves.

We obey no genre and take anything from limericks to fantasy to genres yet invented. Our key desires are originality, accessibility and quality. We like work with a point, something to say or some sort of inner majic that gives greater meaning to the pretty words and thrilling plots. That said, we're not really sure what we’re looking for until we've seen it, so give us a try. Journal Red Savina Review

How does one judge authenticity in the literary arts? Intuition. And, if Heidegger was correct in his assumption that language is the house of Being, intuition, not logic, is the impetus of art and authenticity. Before we can come to either, it seems, we must purge those definitions attached to us like artificial appendages in public school, through mass media, in the university. The purpose of Red Savina Review is to record the writer’s struggle to wrest themselves from the bizarre marketplace of modernity in the quest to claim authenticity and thereby take a stand on Being.

Thank you for stopping by “The Rusty Nail,” the Web’s newest online literary magazine. Our goal is to join the growing community of Internet-based English types who not only love literature and the written word, but are enamored with the future of both. We believe that the Internet has given authors and poets the opportunity to share and get recognition for their work without having to sell their soul to “The Man.” This preserves artistic dignity and lets the reader see the writer’s thoughts and soul without the often numbing influence of industry “professionals.”

Journal scissors and spackle

Words in their purest form both cut and repair, sometimes simultaneously. We believe that words have not been given the credit they are due often enough. Scissors and spackle wants to slip back into the power of words and is searching for artists who string them together in ways that make us remember. We are not concerned with what box or title an artist's work fits into, or how many words it takes them to get there. We are only interested in the destination. We are interested in fiction without boundaries.
