Journal Works & Days Quarterly

Works & Days prizes content; it exists as a challenge to the notion that the Internet is only good for the fleeting and ephemeral. Our aim is to publish creative work of substance and craftsmanship, in any genre that our format will allow. To do so, we have created a space that is both rigorously designed and seasonally curated. Works & Days publishes neither criticism nor advertising, only new work. We are not beholden to any school or ideology, but rather place faith in a simple maxim: good work is its own reward.

Journal World Literature Today

World Literature Today is the University of Oklahoma’s bimonthly magazine of international literature and culture, founded in 1927. The editors welcome submissions on contemporary literary and cultural topics addressing any geographic region or language area. By “contemporary,” we mean that our main focus is on the current literary scene--namely, authors who have been active in the 1990s and 2000s. The bulk of our coverage consists of essays, book reviews, fiction, poetry, and interviews.

Journal write this

"the confrontation of aesthetics is the highest form of internet art. these people feel uncomfortable. what better measurement of art could you have? they should be made to feel uncomfortable. where they will fail, with very few exceptions, is they won't confront the reasons for their discomfort. they will rather insult and suppress."

Journal The Write Place At the Write Time

Our publication was founded in 2008 upon the premise of creating a community-oriented atmosphere of art and literature that speaks deeply to the human experience. It is our personal touch, on everything from the feedback we give to our aesthetic to the relationships we cultivate with our contributors, that distinguishes our approach. We feature fiction, poetry, non-fiction, resources, essays, book reviews, contests, fine artwork and interviews that include best-selling authors such as Janet Fitch, Alice Hoffman, Arthur Golden, Frances Mayes, Sarah Ban Breathnach and Eric Weiner.
