Etchings Press

Etchings Press is UIndy's teaching press and publishing laboratory. Our students engage with writers from across the country to develop knowledge in editing and publishing.

For the Whirling Prize each fall, writers submit recently published books in a specified genre and UIndy students choose a winner. The winner receives a cash prize and is invited to read on campus for the Kellogg Writers Series.

In the Chapbook Contest in the spring, students read and judge submissions and then edit and publish the winning chapbook. Winners receive an honorarium and copies of the published chapbook.
