Author's Bio

M. Jennings’ short stories have appeared in Hotel Amerika, Crab Orchard Review, Redwood Coast Review, Oregon Literary Review, and others. Her story, “The Pool at Chualteca,” published in The Adirondack Review, earned a recommended reading citation for best of the literary web from Dark Sky Magazine. She has taught composition and creative writing, and been awarded fiction residencies at Jentel, The Atlantic Center for the Arts, and The MacDowell Colony. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Mills College and a doctorate in American Literature from UC San Diego. She lives on the Oregon coast where she is working on two allegorical novels.
