Author's Bio

C. ADÁN CABRERA is a Salvadoran-American writer and translator based in Barcelona, Spain. Among other publication credits, Carlos’s writing has appeared in Carve Magazine, Kweli, Sunspot Lit, The Acentos ReviewDigging Through the Fat, and more. His writing explores the complex intersections of race, class and sexuality.

Winner of the 2021 Rigel Literary Prize and 2nd place winner of the 2020 Raymond Carver Short Story Contest, his work has also received support from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, Tin House, and the Lambda Literary Foundation. Carlos holds an MFA from the University of San Francisco and a bachelor’s degree in English from UCLA. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Carlos is hard at work on his collection of short stories.
