Author's Bio

Amy Bernhard is an essayist who has published work in Ninth Letter, The Colorado Review, The South Loop Review, The Michigan Quarterly Review, and The Toast, among others. Her essays have received grants from The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa's Nonfiction Writing Program, and teaches writing to undergraduates at The University of Iowa and Loyola University Chicago. She is currently at work on a collection of essays.
