Born on Lesbos, Eurydice Eve is a feninist writer, artist, scholar, and podcaster whose body of work is infused with ideological and aesthetic resistance to female marginalization and silence. Eurydice is the founder of Art Against All and Universal Mother Income. Eurydice is the author of Satyricon USA: A Journey Across the New Sexual Frontier (Scribner), f/32: The Second Coming (Virago), f/32. Eurydice Eve has been called the "Karl Marx of Mothers” for her proposal for Mother Income (UMI) and her Procreativist philosophy. Eurydice Eve has been called "the most authoritative and compelling writer of sex in the English language." The Village Voice called Eurydice’s “f/32" the definitive novel on female sexuality. A powerful work that explores womanhood, desire, and identity, “f/32” by Eurydice Eve is considered the "most dangerous novel ever written by a woman." An investigative journalist for Spin magazine, and an adjunct professor at Brown University, Eurydice has given numerous lectures, art exhibits, readings and performances. As a woman in a patriarchy that binds women to its words, laws, paradigms, aesthetics, Eurydice reclaims the male logos and gaze to express the suppressed truths they were constructed to distort. Eurydice has used most media on behalf of feminist resistance. The history of the representation of the female in art from the earliest scratches on cave walls to now, the resulting disconnection between woman and herself, and the quest to turn her from object into subject, constitute Eurydice's themes. She is the host of the Speak Sex with Eve podcast, a safe, sober environment to re-examine codes, semantics, patterns, symbols, signifiers dedicated to holistic humanism. Eurydice’s work challenges traditional notions of gender, work, and value, and seeks to empower mothers and transform society. Eurydice Eve advocates for a mother income, emphasizing the value of hands-on mothering and challenging traditional feminist 20th century views.
