Author's Bio

Merna Dyer Skinneris a poet, photographer, and communications and media consultant. She is the President of Satori Communications, Inc. Her business articles have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Investors Business Daily, andSuccess, among others. Her chapbook, A Brief History of Two Aprons, was published in 2016 by Finishing Line Press. Her poem, “Before Gravity”was included in the 2019 anthology,Pocket Poems, published by Star 82 Review.Other poems have appeared in: MiOPeasias, Mojave River Review, Silver Birch Press,The Squaw Valley Review, and on display at the Museum of Northwest Art.

 

Merna earned an MA from Emerson College and is an alum of: the Community of Writers at Squaw Valley, Kenyon Review Writers Workshop, Tupelo Truchas Workshop, Poets on the Coast, and has attended classes at UCLA Writers Extension, WWLA, and Mountain Writers. Merna has lived in Boston, Miami, and NYC. Recently she exchanged the palm trees of Venice, CA for the cedar and spruce trees of Portland, OR.
