Mike Newell

While an educator of at-risk populations, Newell created a student-community literary magazine, The Porkypine, that for several years featured Fielding Dawson as workshop facilitator and guest editor.
Recently, Newell published No Bottom: In Conversation With Barry Lopez (XOXOX Press,(c) 2008), that includes an original 41 page interview and critical inquiry into Lopez's short fiction.
