Author's Bio

My educational background includes an MFA from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, and I’m currently an Associate Professor of English at Harrisburg Area Community College, Lancaster campus. My poems have been published in The Atticus Review, Confrontation, The Red River Review, San Pedro River Review, Red Ochre Lit, Nervous Breakdown, The Poetry Super Highway, Quantum Poetry Magazine, The Paterson Literary Review, Abalone Moon, Switched-on Gutenberg, and Paterson: The Poets’ City (an anthology edited by Maria Mazziotti Gillan), among others. Nonfiction articles of mine have appeared in Travel Belles, On a Junket, and Wholistic Living News. My first book of poetry, Fleeing Back, was published by FutureCycle Press in 2012. My second book of poetry, The Wrack Line, was published in 2017.My story,“Sighting Bia,” was selected by genre-judge Yi Shun Lai as a finalist for A Room of Her Own Foundation's Orlando Prize for Flash Fiction.
