Finalist for the 2023 CMA National Book Awards and winner of the 2016 Penelope Niven Fiction Prize, the 2018 Flying South Fiction Prize, and a 2019 Doris Betts Fiction Prize finalist, Spencer K. M. Brown's work has appeared in Prime Number, Scalawag, Revolution John, Maudlin House, Salvation South, and elsewhere. He is the author of the novels Move Over Mountain (2019 J. New Books) and Hold Fast (2022 Wiseblood Books). He lives in the foothills of North Carolina with his wife and two sons.
