Join Dodge Poet and filmmaker Vasiliki Katsarou in person for a generative Poetry of Place Workshop in Bucks County PA (1pm-5pm) in the ArtWRKD gallery space. Vasiliki will share creative insights drawn from her experience working as a poet, filmmaker, and editor/publisher. She'll discuss the poetics of film, and how places and spaces, both filmed and imaginary, can be powerful prompts for poetry. In the spirit of "first thought, best thought," no writing experience is necessary for this workshop. Participants allow themselves to use "beginner's mind" to generate a first draft. Experienced writers will receive expert editing advice by poet publisher Vasiliki Katsarou, a long-time teaching artist whose adult workshops at Hunterdon Art Museum and ArtYard routinely sell out. Katsarou's poetry books will also be available for purchase. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Workshop fee includes refreshments.
