Announcing the second National Baseball Poetry Festival, which will be held in Worcester, MA, May 3-5, at Polar Park, home of the Woo Sox, New England's Red Sox AAA-Affiliate. 

 

The Festival features youth and adult poetry contests and a series of open mic events. All poets everywhere are invited to submit poems with a baseball and/or softball theme, for example: opening day, ballpark food, Polar Park, first pitch, athletic heroes, uniforms, ball parks, Little League, dugout chatter, the season of the game, etc. and attend all events.

The youth contest invites all 4 th to 12 th graders and Little Leaguers to submit a poem. Winners will include up to 20 elementary-, 20 middle-, and 20 high school students, as well as 20 Little Leaguers.
 

The adult contest invites submissions from college-age students and adults, up to 20 of whom will be selected for recognition and published on BaseballBard.com. All
winners—youth and adult—will additionally receive a National Baseball Poetry Festival t-shirt!
