Join poets Alba Delia Hernández, Willie Perdomo and students of the East Harlem Poets Collective for a celebration and reading at El Barrio's Artspace PS 109. The East Harlem Poets Collective is a collaboration between T&W and Willie Perdomo, through the Academy of American Poets' Poet Laureate Fellowship, with the goal of nurturing the next generation of poet leaders. We joined with Union Settlement's after school program at Esperanza Preparatory Academy to offer poetry workshops to middle school students. This event is a celebration of that work and will feature some of the students reading their poetry.
