Amy Haddad will read from her poetry, including “An Otherwise Healthy Woman,” published by Backwaters Press, an imprint of the University of Nebraska Press in early 2022, for which she received two AJN Book of the Year Awards: first place in the Creative Works Category and second place in the Professional Issues Category. She has been an educator of nurses and pharmacists, and is a pioneer in the use of poetry, creative prose and narrative writing as approaches to teaching healthcare ethics. She joined the Board of Directors of Nebraska Cultural Endowment in 2023.

Carolina Hotchandani will read from her debut poetry book, The Book Eaters, 2023 Perugia Press Prize Winner The book was one of the ten debut poetry books featured in the 2024 Poets & Writers Magazine’s Debut Poets issue. She is a Goodrich Assistant Professor of English in Omaha, NE. She received scholarships from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Community of Writers, Napa Valley Writers’ Conference, the Rona Jaffe Foundation, and Tin House Writers’ Workshop. Social Hour from 5:30pm-6:00pm, Readings from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. There is no charge for this event. Readings are in-person at Larksong Writers Place and via Zoom. Registration required to receive Zoom login.
