My readings often involve as much oral improvisation as reading from pages of paper and sometimes have included writing, which may be projected to be seen as it is getting done, and projections, videos, prerecorded sound, looped recordings of the reading in progress, or other loopy gambits.
For ten years I participated also in a co-authored series of ten volumes of The Grand Piano: An experiment in collective autobiography (Mode Z, Detroit). For a couple years after that I collaborated with Suzanne Stein on a series of 36 live improvised on-line chat performances, soon to appear in book form.
